SLOOP TAVERN YACHT CLUB

With our cruise director Kristina Southard on deck we have bumped STYC cruising standards up a level. We hope to get as many of you out on the water with us as possible. There will be a variety of 10-12 overnight cruises each year in the central Puget Sound with the option of going farther afield on the Salish Sea for long holiday weekends. This will includes marina-based, anchoring, & raft-ups. If you are unfamiliar with either of these skills there will be seasoned members there to assist. NOW is your chance to bone-up and fine tune under the auspice of social mingling with your fellow Sloopers.

Just a few tidbits of our full 2026 cruise events on the docket:

• The annual Blake Island Bash. Everyone who’s anyone moves everything on their calendar for THIS cruise.

• A Bacon & Bourbon bonanza competition.

• A whale of a time floating with Gray’s & Humpbacks outside Langley Marina up in Possession Sound.

• A fabulously fun 3-day holiday weekend in Mystery Bay Marrowstone Island with options of a vineyard wine tasting, goat farm, and Tractor Parade 

• Another new overnight cruise location to the Bremerton Marina - we haven't been there in a decade!

• Surprise location for 4th of July holiday weekend. Still in the works. You may want to take July 3rd off of work hint hint.... More info to come!

• Our Third 3-day weekend this season going further afield for the Labor Day holiday. Stay tuned!

• And Of Course…our December overnight to Kingston for the Christmas Lights and festivities.

Our club mantra is More Butts In Boats. With the above line-up and our cruises becoming more popular every season, we hope to entice you out and take part in our cruising program. However should there be a need to alter, delay or cancel due to any given current weather or pandemic circumstance, we will notify you.
