SLOOP TAVERN YACHT CLUB

With our cruise director Kristina Southard on deck we would like to bump STYC cruising standards up a level. We hope to get as many of you out on the water with us as possible. There will be a variety of 10-12 overnight cruises each year in the central Puget Sound with the option of going farther afield on the Salish Sea for key long holiday weekends. This will include both marina-based as well as anchoring & rafting-up. If you are unfamiliar with either of these skills there will be seasoned members there to assist. NOW is your chance to bone-up and fine tune under the auspice of social mingling with your fellow Sloopers.

Tidbits of 2024 cruise events on the docket:

• The annual Blake Island Bash. Everyone who’s anyone moves everything on their calendar for THIS cruise.
  

• A Bacon & Bourbon Poulsbo bonanza competition.
  

• A whale of a time floating with Gray’s (& Orcas) up in Possession Sound.

• A fabulously fun 3-day holiday weekend in Mystery Bay Marrowstone Island with options of a vineyard wine tasting, a goat farm, & a Tractor Parade 

• Pizza bash at the Port Orchard Marina  (new location)

• 4th of July holiday weekend at Port Ludlow marina, including firepit, bocce ball & perhaps some mingling with our Port Ludlow counterparts

• Another 3-day holiday weekend going further afield south to Gig Harbor for a fun Whiskey/Bourbon tasting at Heritage Distillery

• A autumn overnight up to Edmonds to Brew your wintertime stash of Beer or Cider at Gallagers. 

• And Of Course…our December “Dark & Stormy” overnight to Kingston for the Christmas Lights & festivities.

Our club mantra is More Butts In Boats. With the above line-up and our cruises becoming more popular every season, we hope to entice you out and take part in our cruising program. However should there be a need to alter, delay or cancel due to any given current weather or pandemic circumstance, we will notify you.
