There were great conditions for the first ever Moonlight Madness event with clear skies and 15 knot Northerlies sending the competitors off to Blakely Rock, then Duwamish Head and back to the finish. Sailors got some nice views of the downtown lights, a half moon and Venus to the west. The bigger boats had a bit of an advantage with waterline conditions and the breeze dying as the night progressed. The last three boats, Aquavit, True Blue and the bigger Moonshine didn't quite make it to the finish before the wind shut off completely. Freya corrected out over Peer Gynt and Mata Hari. All boats reported that they had a good time and would try it again.
