More Guest Moorage
Reciprocal moorage grows offering our members new cruising destinations
By Robert Leighton III; updated on 2/3/12 We have just added the Bainbridge Island Yacht Club and the Flounder Bay Yacht Club. You can now go to yachtdestinations.org and click on destinations which will bring up a map with all Yacht Clubs shown. By clicking on the location, you can bring up detailed information on the clubs recuprocal program. I will continue to list reciprocal clubs and basic detail on this web site.
You may want to carry a coat and tie when you go cruising. As of September, 2008 we have reciprocal privileges with the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club and yes they do require a coat and tie in one of their restaurants. We also now have reciprocal privileges with the Los Angeles Yacht club and the Cathlamet Yacht Club.
Below is a list of the reciprocal clubs along with basic information as to how to use this benefit. In every case you must show a current membership card and fly your burgee. This list will be updated as we reach agreement with more clubs. I suggest that those of you who plan on going cruising should keep this information on board.
We have found that some clubs just put us on their reciprocal list but never inform us. For this reason, if you are out cruising and visit a yacht club not listed below, ask for reciprocal moorage. If they have us on their list, please let me know when you get home and I will add them to our list. Any questions? Call me at (425)775-6623.
